Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrival & Kigali City Tour
The driver will be waiting at the airport to convey you to the Nyungwe Forest Lodge, very close to the Nyungwe Forest National Park. Based on your arrival time, there will be an opportunity to visit other locations in Kigali. You will meet your tour guide later for a welcome dinner and briefing.
Chimpanzee Trekking in Nyungwe Forest
Immediately after breakfast the tour guide will convey you from the lodge to Nyungwe forest. You will experience the rich wildlife knowledge of your guide — full details on primate feeding habits, social structures, and reproduction. The tour also enables you to explore the cultural museum and the King's Palace in Butare and Nyanza. Note: chimpanzee trekking is best during the wet season when food is abundant and chimps stay closer to the trails.
Transfer Back to Kigali & Departure
It is Day 3 and we are driving back to Kigali. Its strategic location at the centre of the country makes it ideal to end any Rwanda tour. Upon arriving in Kigali you are at liberty to explore some locations for last-minute shopping before departing for the airport.
