Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrival in Kigali & Transfer to Musanze
Our representative will be waiting to welcome you at the airport and usher you to the dedicated car to Musanze, near Volcanoes National Park. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the land of a thousand hills. There will be a visit to the Genocide Memorial in Kigali.
Mountain Gorilla Trekking
Gorilla trekking is an unforgettable experience. The day commences with a drive to Volcanoes National Park headquarters for briefing. Pick-up is at 6:00 am. One of the highlights is watching the impressive, calm gorillas conduct themselves graciously in their natural habitat. After trekking the driver takes you to the lodge to freshen up.
Mount Bisoke Volcano Hike
After early morning breakfast, you set out for today's adventure — the Bisoke volcano hike. It takes almost a full day so departing by 8:00 am is crucial. You'll receive all required information from the park ranger beforehand. Be physically prepared: the pathway to the crater can be wet and muddy. The rewarding summit reveals a beautiful crater lake at over 12,000 ft with panoramic Virunga views.
Transfer to Kigali — City Tour & Departure
Day 4 brings us back to Kigali. Upon arriving you are at liberty to explore some locations for shopping and sightseeing before departing for the airport.
