Itinerary
Day by day
Travel to Nyungwe Forest National Park
Your dedicated driver/guide will be waiting at Kigali International Airport. Based on your arrival time there may be opportunity to explore Kigali markets and craft sellers. Afterwards you set out for Nyungwe Forest National Park — one of the largest forests in East and Central Africa.
Chimpanzee Trekking in Nyungwe
Immediately after breakfast the driver takes everyone to park headquarters for ranger briefing and then to the chimpanzee trail. Return later in the day for lunch. Dinner and overnight at Crater Safari Lodge.
Travel to Kinigi via Kigali
After breakfast, depart to Kinigi via Kigali. Much of the day is spent in Kigali where you'll visit a couple of places. Dinner and accommodation in your preferred hotel in Kigali.
Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Set out early after breakfast for the mountain gorilla trekking preparation. Before setting out, you receive updates and briefing from the Volcanoes NP headquarters.
Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
An exciting journey to interact with nature and get a full view of the wildlife primates. The experience includes hiking on a steep volcano at the Volcanoes National Park and memorable encounters with mountain gorilla families. Lunch is arranged at your preferred time during the day.
Transfer Back to Kigali
The adventure has come to its eventful end. The driver is available to take you back to Kigali for your departure flight.
